Greece Details
Below are more pics from Greece. Our trip consisted of flying a red-eye flight into Athens on a wednesday night, getting in around 2 in the morning on thursday, and spending the night at the airport waiting for the public transportation to start running. Zach and I ended up throwing the frisbee around outside for a while while the others made an attempt at sleeping. That day was our Athens day, seeing such sights as the Acropolis and...um...well that's pretty much all Athens has. The next day we hopped on a 3 hr. bus ride to visit the Oracle at Delphi. She does not inhabit the hill anymore, but a bunch of ruins still does. And there is just an amazing view. The next day we took a bus out to the coast, to Cape Sounion, where there are the ruins of a temple and quite a nice view of the ocean and some islands. That evening we hopped on a ship and took the 7hr. overnight voyage to Crete where we saw the Minoan ruins at Knossos the next day (Easter Sunday). And then that night took the ship back to Athens to fly out on Monday. All in all it was a succesful trip and we all had a great time. It was just nice to get out of the Czech Republic and into a warmer, sunnier climate. God is good for providing us with such an opportunity.
